Hey everyone! I need some help

So after some signs of possible drift in my Switch Lite, I've been looking into getting a pro controller. I looked it up, have asked people, and many sources have told me pro controllers CAN be used with the lite system.

I went to Gamestop today and found the cutest Pikachu controller that resembled an old GameCube controller. However, when I asked the woman who worked there if it was compatible with the lite she said "no." I then referred to the whole wall of pro controllers (wireless, wired, etc.) and asked which ones were compatible to which she replied "none of them."

I'm really confused as multiple sources say I can use a pro controller with my lite. I know it may seem silly since lites are handheld only, but if the pro can help me avoid drift I really would like to buy one!

Can anyone confirm or deny if there are any pro controllers that I can use on my lite. Maybe provide some examples? Any help is appreciated! Thank you all in advance :)

According to nintendo, the pro controller is compatible with the lite.

Other websites say the same thing, so my guess is that the employee didn’t know what she was talking about (not blaming her at all, these things happen, it just seems that she was wrong on this one.)

edit: I’m talking about the wireless ones, not the wired ones. The wired ones connect via the USB port on the dock, so they wouldn’t work with your lite. But a wireless one should do.

Yeah like Mary mentioned, only the wireless Pro Controllers should be compatible with your Lite. The gamecube esque controllers and wired ones will not work, as though work through a dock/USB dongle.

I'm pretty sure the Pikachu "pro controller" you saw is actually and an enhanced Power A controller (not from nintendo). Like @ Mary said, only the actual pro controller from nintendo should be compatible with the switch lite.

Thank you all! I appreciate the help! I'm not mad at the employee at all, I was just super confused because I knew something had to work! Now I know what to select when I go back :) Sad I can't use the GameCube controller, but hey, stickers can make the pro controller just as cute 😂

Just wanted to say that Pro controllers can get drift as well. A decent temporary fix is to apply contact cleaner for electronics under the analog sticks. That should take care of the dust buildup that causes the drift in the first place.

XD laughing of what that lady said. Tell her that she knows nothing about switch. Because of course you can use a pro controller for switch lite.
