I made an account on Nookazon back when I was looking for Cyd. Thankfully, I found Cyd on here - which made me happy as I feel safer with everyone on here. Since I found Cyd on here that means I've never actually traded on Nookazon before. Today in a Facebook ACNH group I'm in someone mentioned selling their turnips on Nookazon. I went on Nookazon to look into selling turnips and there were some good prices. I noticed some people were accepting Wishlist Items as payment. Looking at the wishlists caused me some confusion, tbh. I've tried searching the interwebs for help but couldn't get an answer about the situation that has me confused. So I came here in hopes of getting an answer to my most likely stupid Nookazon question. Ready? Here's my question:

When a person has a crafting material on their wishlist such as 1 X Pearl, 1 X Hardwood or 1 X Large Star Fragment does the "1 X" mean 1 single pearl, 1 single piece of hardwood, etc. or does the "1 X" mean 1 STACK of pearls, 1 STACK of hardwood, etc.? I'm sure I sound like a dope for asking this but I couldn't find the answer on my own. Thanks!

If I recall correctly, the wishlist only lets you add 1 of an item, so 1x might actually be any number. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Most people expect you to offer more than one, though. Sometimes it's a fair amount, but sometimes it's honestly kinda stupid. I use Nookazon purely for giving away and getting villagers---I was lucky enough to get Cyd and Dizzy for free, so that was cool! It's pretty easy to get cheap villagers, unless it's an obscure villager (like Dizzy) or...Raymond. But item trades definitely confuse me at times. Not sure why people put down just one material then reject any offers of just 1...

I think it means just the required materials to make it, not the whole stack of them is what I’m assuming.
Part of why it was confusing to me is that the crafting materials aren't listed with any DIY next to them. If they had a DIY that required a certain amount that would have made so much more sense.

One single piece. I know it can be confusing but it’s doable. I’m on Nookazon too so I can answer any questions you have.
Thank you so much for the information! I was worried about offering the wrong amount and possibly getting a bad review. Thank you for the offer to help with any questions I might have!

You can add the same item twice I just did it https://nookazon.com/profile/49766411/wishlist
This is helpful info! Thank you!

I figured if the "1 X" meant just one item that it would probably be better to offer more. However, I was worried that if I offered say 5 Pearls that I'd accidentally be offering 5 Stacks of Pearls and I don't have that many pearls. I'm gad you were able to get the villagers for free. Other than Cyd I haven't been in the market for villagers recently so I wasn't so how easy getting them from Nookazon was. I haven't traded any items yet but just looking at the wishlists confused me so I'm feeling a bit nervous about actually trading.

I'd say go for it! I don't use Nookazon a whole lot for items since their prices caaaaan be a bit iffy (especially if you sell rattan stuff, you can make a fortune from those lol), but it's definitely a go-to for me if I don't want to use my TBT. Less convenient than here, but most folks are honest ☺

I'm always a bit nervous on new sites. I lurked TBT for months before actually joining. lol! I may end up using Nookazon to sell turnips but I'm not really looking for any items or villagers so I don't know how much more I'll be on there.

I mustered up all my courage and used Nookazon to sell my turnips today. The person was letting people come for free but also said they always need wood so I offered a full stack of wood as a good will gesture. There were people coming & going rapid fire. I know this is going to probably going to sound silly but I actually felt some social anxiety being around so many "people" at once. I did manage to sell my turnips, thank the host and get back to my own island pretty smoothly. I completed the "trade", left my first review and received my very first review - a 5 star review!

As someone who has used Nookazon since last year in August 2020 let me just tell you be really careful with people on Nookazon. You can never know you may run to someone who has a low rating and could scam you. Trust me it happened to me before and I was not happy about it. Also keep in mind not everyone you see is always "Online" they take longer to respond mainly because they forget to always change their status.

About the 5 star review you got, just becareful with some people with reviews because they take them too seriously these days. I once given someone a 4 star review and gave them feedback to improve, but then they gave me a 1 star rating acting like I was "rude" to them. So I would just play it safe and give someone 5 stars even though the experience you had was rough.

As for trading with others, I say wishlist items that people have are pretty ridiculous (no offense to anyone out there), most of the items Is see them want are VIllager Photos, Bug Models, Seasonal DIYS, and of course one of the most annoying ones the villagers themselves if they are in Boxes. Also for most of the items they like to charge crazy amounts of bells and Nook Mile Tickets. If you see anything like "800 Nook Mile Tickets" for any villager or item, stay away from that, because you cannot hold that many in your pockets.

I don't wanna make you sound uncomfortable, but just so you know not everything on Nookazon is "friendly" you're going to have some bumping roads with the people that I mentioned so just keep in mind of what you have to deal with going forward. Lastly don't be surprised if your offer gets denied, people on Nooakzon tend to be pretty demanding with the items they are selling and they want more than just bells or nmts.

To be honest, I'm naturally distrustful of people online in general. I'm pushing 50 and have been dealing with internet scammers & creepers for a long time. I lurked on here for some months before I joined and then it took me several more months before I even considered buying/trading with someone on here. I have a very simple internet philosophy: DTA - Don't Trust Anyone.

Since I was quite happy with how selling my turnips went I would have given the host a 5 star review no matter what. I really don't plan on being too active on Nookazon. I'd rather come on here for anything I need. Even when I was looking for Cyd I was more focused on finding him on here.

I haven't really looked much at the items being bought and sold. I'd rather come on here if I'm looking for something or going to sell something. I'm really not super interested in collecting NMT, have more than enough IGB & don't have a wishlist so Nookazon doesn't have any forms of payment for me. I'd much rather have TBT for collectibles and art.

I really appreciate you looking out for me and giving me a heads up about the less friendly side of Nookazon. I'd rather know the things I should look out for & avoid. While the internet is great it's also full of trolls and jerks who are just waiting to target people. Even TBT has had some trolls and jerks find their way here.

Other than selling turnips I don't see myself on Nookazon too often. TBT is better and I feel more comfortable here,
