QR Code question.

So I scanned a code using the sewing machine and I wanted to use the design on a my sign board but i don't get the option to. How come? Does it have to be a design I made to work on it?

Sadly i think sign boards have to be a design you created.
it reallllly sucks as i have no artistic talent whatsoever.
