Question about animated signature

So I'm trying to add an animated signature and every time I try it gives me a message saying "you may not upload animated images" even though it says it's supported under the file types. I've seen animated signatures all the time and was wondering how to add one :3 do I have to purchase something...?

Any help would be appreciated. I've tried everything and looked everywhere trying to find an answer >.<

Do not upload your image using TBT, instead upload it at http://imgur.com/

After it uploads, copy the "Direct Url", come back to TBT, go to the edit your signature page, and put

[img]directurlhere[/img]

and it'll be animated

That's exactly what I was doing and it wasn't working I tried different gifs as well and the same thing happened. I'll try again.
