Question about date and time!

I know that a new day starts at 6 am in the game, but does the date change at 6 am, as well? For example, if I wanted to time travel to 2 am on Oct 29th, would I time travel to 2 am on the 28th (and have the date change to the 29th at 6 am) or straight up TT to 2 am on the 29th and the day proceeds normally?

The date changes a midnight, just like real life. The new day starts at 6am. New dig spots show up, trees bear fruit, new villager plot shows up and whatever else.
