Question about DLC items from a forum noob :P

So hi I might be a moron for asking about this, as the answer can probably be found in lots of places, but I'm lazy and I'm new to the forums (this is my first forum I've ever experienced and I am slightly overwhelmed by the amount of stuff going on in it ) and I don't really want to search for the answer to this for fear of overlooking it because I have no idea what I'm doing :/
Soooooo.....does anyone know if there's a way to get DLC items that are past the date you could receive them normally in the game? Or will I have to find someone willing to give/trade me one from their town or something? Also, the same question for region specific items?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I would really appreciate the help!

You can receive them from people that did download the DLC in time. You're also able to get multiples of certain DLC, as they can be reordered through the catalog at the Nooklings' shop. Other stuff like the fedora chair in ACNL can only be obtained by trading for it.

But what about items such as the Shave Ice Lamp that can't be ordered from HHA displays or reordered through the catalog? Do I just need to find someone willing to part with one and meet up with them?

I realize now I worded one of the questions weird in the first post :S One thing I also meant to ask was if you can get the DLC items that are past due like a normal item in a normal way in your own game without finding someone else who had them? I don't think you can, but confirmation would be nice

No you can't download past DLCs it's impossible unfortunately. Only way to get them is to trade!

The retail section here is the best way, people post saying what they want to buy/sell/trade

Yes, post a "buying" thread in retail. Someone is usually willing to sell.

You could also post a buying thread in the tbt section if you are willing to spend your forum bells
