I was wondering this, do you think that Felyne will be a regular villager in the next Animal Crossing main game, or is it only a DLC thing in HHD because he?s from Monster Hunter?
I really hope he?ll be a villager in future games, he?s just adorable:blush:

Since they had to get permission from Capcom to use the character, I don't know if Felyne will show up again. I agree though that it'd be great if he was in Animal Crossing again as a regular villager!

I would say they licensed him and he will definitely show up in future games.
Especially seems they have the models etc of him now.

Eh... not really. CAPCOM are separate from Nintendo, and Monster Hunter is a really big series in Japan, and since CAPCOM isn't partnered with Nintendo, they can literally make their next game on any system they want, which doesn't have to be a Nintendo system, and if it isn't on a Nintendo system, Nintendo would essentially be advertising a game for Sony by putting Felyne in a future Animal Crossing game.
That said tho, Ninty and CAPCOM do have a good relationship going on right now so I doubt CAPCOM are going to run back to Sony - especially after they screwed them over - so I'd say it's a safe bet, but you know, anything can change.

True, but company's license stuff from other companies all the time.
Just look at Apple and Samsung haha.
If they bothered to do it once, they'll stick with it for the future, assuming Capcom are happy to renew the license of course.

It really depends on how the license agreement was written. Maybe Felyne is only good for one game and they would have to re-license him for future games. Or maybe they get to use him for x number of games. We don't know.

True that.
Time will tell :)
Would be nice to see his furniture in future games though :)
