I currently have the digital version of AC:NL on my 3ds. If I went out and bought a physical version as well, would I have another new town?

I ask this because I really want a second town to cycle villagers and such, but I don't have a second 3ds. I want to know if you can have 2 different towns, using two differnt versions of AC:NL, but on the same 3ds.

Yep you will have a different town on the physical copy :3 The physical copy saves onto the game cartridge itself, whereas the digital copy saved onto your SD card, so you'd have two completely new towns. You just wouldn't be able to visit yourself ;)

Exactly what Kerry said, but DO NOT use 2 SD cards and download the digital copy onto both..

Say you made one called "Town 1" on your first SD card, and played that as if it was a regular town with all your dreamies.. And then you made a second town called "Town 2" on your second one.. When you play that, IT WILL DELETE YOUR FIRST TOWN'S DATA, AND IT WILL BE UNRECOVERABLE.. Just to give you a heads-up, but having a digital and physical together is fine

REALLY?! O: YEESSS! :D Now I just have to convince my mom to let me buy a 2nd one... >:3

@Hound00med

It does? o-o Thank you for warning me! I was thinking about getting a 2nd SD card and doing just that, I'm glad I didnt!
