I know that if you ask an amiibo in your campsite to move in and you're at full capacity, you can kick someone out. But what about villagers you find on Nook Miles Islands or if you visit someone else's island with a villager you want in boxes?

Really good question. I'm wondering the same. Have been saving up my nook miles as im at max capacity for villagers and don't want to risk running into someone I love and them being unable to move in, thus, miles wasted.

I believe this is only possible once you have the camping ground and Nook’s tent changes into a building. But I could be wrong. I believe I saw something about this in on of the latest videos.

Others than that, you can only invite three at the begin and more later on. I’m at this point right now, will see what the day today will bring for me ^_^

If your island is full or you don't have an available plot for a villager to live, then they will stop showing up on the Nook Miles islands.

I've heard that if you have 10 villagers and get a random (non Amiibo) camper, you can still kick out a villager. I haven't done it so I can't confirm it though.

Hmm, so what about inviting someone in another player's island? I'm asking because there's a specific villager I'm looking for and I can trade other villagers for them (via amiibo) but if the recipient's island is full, it might take a while for them to free up space to get who I'll send over.
