question about labelle

whenever labelle shows up in town she always gives you a shirt/coat to give you an idea of what design she is looking for so basically you dont need any shirts in your inventory. i just toss on a hat, glasses, shoes and stockings and possibly a backpack or purse and POOF im done. that being said i wear one outfit *the wetsuit* everyday without shoes or other items. my question is this *because the clothing is taking up Far too much space in my inventory*...is there a clothing theme place where i can find one particular theme for each style that she asks for and just keep those in my inventory so everytime she shows up i already have what she wants? or when she gives you the same style clothing will she want different items for you to wear? i would like to just have the clothing that she wants and never have to buy another clothing item again LOL

Umm I just talk to her after putting the item on and she just gives me the reward, so I don't think clothing choice matters

Clothing choice does not matter. I did a little experiment. She wanted a Goth look and gave me a Vampire coat. I took off all clothes that I had down to my underwear, put on the Vampire suit, and went back for inspection. She said that I had to have pants on. I went and put on a BRIGHT orange pair of cutoffs. No shoes, socks, hat, glasses and went back again. She loved it. Said that it was a very good likeness of a Goth outfit. As long as you have the item on that she gives you (and a pair of pants) she will like it.

I totally forgot that she existed in this game. She really doesn't do much but she does Fashion Checks. Which is like Gracie Grace in the old AC games when she used to do them. Whenever you dress up to a style that she wants you to see she will give you a Tailors Ticket and sometimes she will give you here like designs that she made. Yeah she is not really that good of a special character and since I am not someone who is into clothes I don't really talk to her all that much whenever I see her show up on my island.

Same issue with Kicks. I mean its funny back in New Leaf kicks used to have his own Shop on Main street next to the Able Sisters and the same thing with Leif when he used to be inside the Nook shop after it was fully upgraded. You would think after a year that they would get their own shop but they don't.

I remember when Mabel first showed up you had to spend the right amount of bells in order for her to become interested in setting up the Able shop. Its so weird that she is the only special NPC to get a shop but the rest like I mentioned get forgotten about.

I know its a controversial thing to say but I really hope they change it so that does not work.
Its really stupid that she gives you clothing, and then putting that on is enough.
Might as well not ask you to change in the first place.

agreed roxas! i liked the old shops and especially loved gracie grace's shop. she had the best furniture in the game! i honesty dont understand why they put labelle in this one...all she does is dole out clothing that isnt very good looking...although to be fair about that; the items when theyre for sale in ables make decent gifts for the villagers. this game seems to have lost a bit of heart...it was taken over by terraforming i think.

Yeah, I hope the actual theme thing returns. The fact that all you have to do is wear what Labelle gives you, with pants, basically destroys the purpose of the themes. I mean, if she gives you a Gothic theme and all you need is the vampire coat, with pants, then that's not a theme. I know I'm probably going to get hate for saying this but, if they wanted to replace Gracie, then at least do better than this Nintendo. Maybe don't basically destroy what made Gracie special?

it's really convenient that we don't have to think about what to pair with her shirts or even change anything about our current outfits at all after putting the shirt on, but I agree that it defeats the purpose of her visits. I'm sure that's part of the reason she's the least popular (or at least one of the least popular) visitor, since her gifts aren't all that useful and interacting with her isn't fun or challenging at all.

I mean, she gives better rewards and your friendship with her increases faster if you put more clothes that fit the theme but you all can disregard that if you want ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don't recall how many friendship points you need to acquire her friendship, but I think I did like... 5 or more? challenges at the highest level before earning her trust. I think her clothing-line can only be unlocked on the shop by receiving the item from her, so you need to do at least 12 challenges with at least 2 clothes that fit the theme (I'm not aware if trading the item unlocks as well).
