Question about stones

I made a bit of an error today regarding the little stones that you can find next to the rocks on your island. I collected all the stones I could find and then sold them along with a load of weeds I'd picked cos I didn't realise I was going to need them to craft a flimsy axe . So my question is do I now have to wait til tomorrow for more little stones to spawn or is there any way round this?

Maybe a balloon could drop a rock, balloons can give you many things. If you're on your second day you can buy a nook ticket for 2000 nook miles to travel to an island were you can get more rocks!

I have also fished up stones from the ocean and river!

This may be a dumb question but... are you using your shovel or axe to hit the rocks to pop out more stones? Btw my previous post explains how to maximize this, same as it was in previous games.

I don't have a shovel or an axe yet so I don't have anything to hit the rocks with.

I accidentally crushed a boulder bc i ate an orange. Lol I hope they respawn.

Once you craft a way to break the rock, another stone will appear. You'll want to eat fruit before breaking the rock, otherwise, it's futile.
