Question about TBT

Hi , I'm new here and i don't get the concept of TBT . How do i gain them ? How do i lose them ? Thanks !

TBT is forum currency. You gain TBT by creating threads and posting on other's threads (with good quality). You can sell lots of different things for TBT and buy lots of different things with TBT. You lose TBT by purchasing things from other users, purchasing collectibles (The cute little icons in peoples' sidebars - They do not serve a purpose other than looking awesome), editing a thread if you take out quite a bit from it, or using the sites attachment uploader (Use imgur, photobucket, or tinypic, etc.)

To answer your other question - The ABD is just to hide the amount of TBT you have from other users pretty much, so it doesn't show under your avatar. I do believe you used to be able to earn interest from it but they took that feature out as it was getting abused.

Also, there are some boards you do not earn TBT from posting in.. Such as the basement. I believe you earn the most TBT from posting in Brewster's Caf? ^.^ - Not 100% sure on that part but I know you don't earn TBT from the basement

Some boards you also earn reduced amount of bells, though it evades my memory of which ones.

Some boards you earn maybe 1 bell for posting. In a different board, you'd earn like .5 or .7 a bell for posting.
