Is it really required for an older villager to move out before the 10th and newest villager asks to leave?

I didn't have to do anything like this to get my tenth villager o_O Never even heard of anything like this...

I'm not asking how to get a 10th villager. I'm asking if it's required for an older villager to move out before the newest and also 10th villager asks to leave.

Preferably knowledge from anyone who has experience with the situation

I don't think so. The newest villager in my town has moved out before, but I can't remember if they were 9th or 10th. I don't think it should matter.

As far as I'm aware, yes, the newest villager when they're #10, can't leave until someone leaves before them, in all my files I've had and my current 3 NL towns, the newest villagers (#10) has never moved out even if I ignore them or try to force them out. Usually they just say they feel unwelcome but they never leave until someone else does.

You sure about that? Because Hippeux should've left 2 months ago if that was the case.

I'm pretty certain with that, I could be wrong but I have tried to kick villagers out before who've just moved in and ruined my paths and tree organisation but to no avail.

Eugene asked me to leave plenty of times before anyone moved out in my game when he first moved in. ._.

midge moved into my bffs town and then moved out like 2 weeks later. she was the 10th villager

idk the 10th villager wont move out for at least 3 days after they moved in. so that might make people think they cant move out? but i think its possible but im not sure

I had two villagers, Gaston and then Ozzie, move in within a couple days of each other (one from spotpass and one from the camsite) and within a couple weeks Ozzie, who moved in last, pinged me and said he wanted to leave. I only talked to him once to introduce myself and ignored him after.

Both Sly and Scoot were my 10th villagers at different times, and they were the first to move away after they each moved in.

So the answer is no. Another villager does not have to leave in order for the 10th villager to ask to move.
