So, I know a lot of people who use the word "Bump" on their post, and my question is why do they use it and does it have any meaning?

Whenever you post in a thread, that thread will go to the top of any new posts. Because of that, if your thread is still relevant and you want it to receive more attention, you "bump" it to the top so people can more easily see it.

"Bump" means "bring up my post" so more people can see your post.

Bump is an acronym? I never thought of it like that, mind blown. I knew what its purpose was but I didn't know that.

p positive someone just made up the acronym after the fact

but yeah, bumping is literally just pushing a thread to the top of the index listing via a new (generally non-substantial content) post
