Question about turnip patterns

Hi!
So I bought turnips the first time on my new island. And now on Friday PM I have 180 bells. The entire week I had a small decreasing pattern. From 90 it went down to like 78 something. I’m unfortunately not sure if my spike started yesterday PM or today AM.
But I did hear that when you’re a first time buyer, it’ll always be a small spike pattern. Is that correct? In that case I should probably sell correct? I looked for info online but it only confused me more lol

Interesting, I've never heard about getting a small spike as a first time buyer, where did you hear that?

I checked for posts where people had large turnip buy prices, like 400 bells or more, and did some time traveling on my island and made multiple selling trips to those islands
