I've just gotten my first villager from the campsite and plotted for him which means when he moves in I'll have 6 villagers. Tom Nook has told me I can now reserve plots for villagers so my question is how many of these plots can I reserve? Can I reserve 4 now to make it the 10 house maximum and if so am I able to go on tours and recruit these last 4 villagers right now? or do I have to wait and can only plot 1 a day or what? Thanks

From what I’ve heard is that after you invite the mandatory campsite villager you can start finding villagers on mystery tours again.

I think I read that you have to do it one by one though.

Like you go on a tour, find a villager you like and invite them, make a spot for them (you might have to do this first, idk!) and then you have to wait until they move in before you can invite someone else:

I would hold off on setting up multiple plots because if you don't find villagers you like on the islands or scan in any from Amiibo cards, you'll get random villagers buying up your plots and moving in.

Can you invite a villager from an island and THEN make a plot? I'm assuming you have to make the plot first.

From my experience, villagers will not show up on the islands (after the first three plots given by Nook) until you have bought a plot from Nook. I don't know if you have to lay it down somewhere, but I assume that's the case.

Also, it's not a guarantee that a random villager will move in the next day, but it's not a risk worth taking if you're hunting for someone specific.

So theoretically I could place one plot, go find a villager, place a second plot, find another one etc all in the same day to fill up the last 4 plots?
