Question about villagers moving

I don't know if this goes here but ohwell.

I'm currently waiting for someone to pick up Apollo, but I've just won an auction for Ankha and I want to pick her up.

So my question is: Is it possible to pick up a villager from another town while a villager in your own town is in boxes?
