Question about Wifi Rating

So, something around a year ago, I got a bad wifi rating.
Anyway, won't talk about that. [i wish i didn't have it dou]
Do you have to WIFI with someone to recieve a wifi rating? By wifi i mean like, be in the middle of a TBT bell trade and you send the other guy bells but they don't give you the items and whenever you visit their town/they visit your town.

You don't have to wi-fi with them. I know tons of people who just give bad ratings/good ratings for the sake of it. I wish it was kind of like ACC where you had to have their FC saved for them to send you a wi-fi rating ;; But if you mean if you should, of course you should wi-fi with them.

Because the person i got a bad wifi rating from, I didn't even confirm I was gonna give her the giveaway bells because she was impatient and kept asking ''Are my bells ready?'' So I became reluctanct and my friend said ''You know what, I want to keep my bells''
Long story short, she was being stubborn, I refused to give her the bells so i lied, gave the other giveaway winners their bells cause they were kind.

People shouldn't give wifi raitings if they haven't come to your town/you've gone to theirs online. In your case, I'm pretty certain you could contact a mod to take their wifi raiting off, because that is not what the wifi raiting function is for ^_^

If you explicitly stated that it was your friend giving away the stuff, not you, and you didn't wifi with them, they shouldn't have given you a raiting. You aren't obliged to give them anything for free.

It sometimes affects trades because people would trust you less for having negative wifi raitings~

It's just 1 though. If they ask others and they say you're trustworthy I'm sure they won't mind trading w/ you.
