I’m in a strange situation: I’m currently trying to kick out Shino for my friend by using an Amiibo, and tomorrow is supposed to be the day that I would be able to do so.

However, Carmen just asked me if she could move out, so now she will be in boxes tomorrow.

If I use the Amiibo to kick Shino tomorrow, will they both be in boxes on the same day? It feels like that shouldn’t be possible, but I’m not sure 😭

If anyone has been in a similar situation please let me know what happened!

Colton asked me to move out and I was 2 days away from getting Sasha via amiibo.

That day Colton was in boxes, but Sasha still asked me who to pick to switch because my island was considered full.

Since I was originally going to switch Colton with Sasha, I didn't test it out, but the game treated Colton like any other villager, not considering he was already moving.

So I think maybe yes, because I would have been able to select another villager to move out to make room for Sasha, and Colton was going to move anyways.

in any case I think that this would cancel Colton's (Carmen) move, but not the one you pick (Shino)

I had Alfonso in boxes the same day I invited Wolfgang from the campsite to kick out Chief, and they were both in boxes at the same time, so it's 100% possible!

Yes, you can have 2 villagers in boxes on the same day. I have done that a few times. One in boxes from amiibo card, which happens to be on the day after a villager asked to move out so both are in boxes.

Thank you for the responses 😭🖤 appreciate it a lot! Wasn’t sure if it was something the game could handle, but glad to see it’s safe! 🥺🖤
