Hello :)

I've been doing the 2 days forward/2 days afterward timetraveling method to get rid of an unwanted villager (who has not asked to move yet, urgh -.-) and during my last try, Beau told me that Scoot was thinking about leaving. I walked up to Scoot to talk him out of it, but he didn't ping me! o_O Saved and quit and tried again and then he pinged me. But now I'm reeeaaaally scared that I might miss it if someone wants to move (especially my dreamies!).

So, question is:
Will villagers that want to move ALWAYS be outside of their houses and main street (so that they can ping me), or is it not save to assume that if I see (e.g.) Beau being in his house or main street that he will NOT move away?

Does anyone have experience with tting villagers out and could tell me about it? Maybe someone who uses the same method? I really do not want to lose my favourite villagers :(

Seeing them on Main Street or inside does not mean they're not moving.. And just 'cos they're outside doesn't mean they'll ping you either.. I talked to my Erik every day and saw him outside a lot, but then he just randomly moved without a word, and that time I was only day-by-day TT'ing.. So there are no guarantees

If a villager tells you that another villager is moving go to that villager BUT DON'T talk to them, make them ping you first then talk to them.

And if they're on the main street/shopping/in the museum or in their home theyre not someone that is considering moving.

Just because a villager is on main St. , the cafe, or the museum. That doesn't guarantee that they are not moving out. I lost Lobo this way. I assumed he wasn't moving out because he was in the museum. I TT the next day and he was in boxes...

Anyways, if you're ever unsure about a villager moving or that they don't do the ping, just save/quit and start your game up, then look for the villager, chances are that they'll ping this time. (Yesterday Whitney didn't ping. I saved and quit, then started playing my game a few hours later and she told me she was thinking of moving)

Say there's a villager you really don't want to move out but they're not in town. Just TT a few hours back or forth until they appear in your town and walk by them just to make sure he/she isn't thinking of moving.
