Quick questions regarding dlc and villagers

If I where to customize an ungifted villagers house using the dlc, would they still be considered ungifted and would theur house recert to normal if they moved to someone else?

I have no idea but with the DLC (and I think once you’ve unlocked decorating their houses but maybe earlier I didn’t check) Isabelle has the option to reset their houses to default so you could always do that before moving them out if you are doing it intentionally.
