Woke up in my bed to a perfectly clear, albeit cold, morning. Went to water my flowers and gather fossils in Hollowyn and found rain. At least neither place is snowing anymore!

Found another purple rose and an orange-red pansy. Purrl has a huge field of yellow pansies that she (or some other villager) has planted next to her house; I know I didn't put them all there. I should maybe thin them out and mix in some red ones to encourage hybrids.

After the celebration for the third suspension bridge (only Lolly showed up; everyone else was still asleep, except Pekoe, who was wandering around on Main Street), Isabelle and I went to set up the plot for The Roost. I ended up choosing the central spot, just to the west and north of Town Hall. It fits perfectly into that bump in the river and I can't wait to get it built.

With that taken care of, it leaves my other two options open in the northern corners of town. One leads to my secret beach and the other is up against the cliffs. Both are right by the tracks, but I plan to line both fences with pine trees. Most of the sounds will be either the surf or the waterfall, depending on which area you're in. The north-west area is larger, and I have the pond to work with, too. I probably will put some stumps scattered in there so I can go mushroom picking in the woods. The smaller north-east section is going to have trees, flowers, and the log bench, when I get the suggestion. That'll be a quiet place where villagers can sit and dream.

Shari pinged me and asked to buy one of my rainbow trout from me. She offered a fair price, but the option to give it for free came up and I picked it. She was so happy, she went about town whistling for a good 10 minutes. Later, she asked me if I would purchase her Nice Painting from her for about 4,000 bells last night. I wish we could see them before we buy, the way we do with Redd, but I checked and it said there is no counterfeit for the Nice Painting, so I bought it.

Learned the Mistaken joke from Shrunk. I know it isn't the happiest emotion, but I love the little star falling on your head.

Sahara was in town this morning. She gave me the Autumn Wall, which is pretty, and the Shanty Floor, which I probably won't keep. It just doesn't look that nice to me, given other options. Besides, I can re-order that from the Nooklings, should I change my mind.

Speaking of those mini bandits, the new expansion opens later today. Now I have the Super T&T.

Sent all my characters to Shampoodle's yesterday. I have to go back with Emerald today, because I goofed on the style. I also think I want light green hair instead of the darker green for her. Sapphire has a low ponytail and light blue hair, Flint has white, spiky hair, and Jett has black (of course) hair that is spiked up. Not the mohawk, because he has hair on the sides, but the "role model" option.

Speaking of Emerald, how did the fashion police not come and take her away after I dressed in this outfit? :D We have a dark polka shirt, dark polka skirt, rainbow tights, and colorful sneakers. The only thing missing was some wacky hair accessory. Oh, and that's the hairstyle I'm going to change. It isn't bad, but not quite what I wanted.

I've since changed into the silk pop dress, bobby socks, white patent shoes, and a yellow ribbon in my hair. Much better.

Okay, I'll leave you with that image while I'm off to do some shopping on Main Street. :)

That shirt and skirt are a little hard on the eyes. xD It'd actually make a nice outfit if the dots on the skirt were the same size as on the shirt.

I like the mushroom picking in the woods idea! Makes me want to collect a bunch of stumps and plant a lot of trees around them. x) Not sure I'll have enough room for that, but it's really a cool idea.

Yeah, or if the sizes were reversed. What possessed me to pair it with the tights and sneakers is beyond me. No wonder the poor thing is frowning. ;)

Thanks, I'm still working out in my head how I'll lay it out. I think the easiest thing would be to grow trees I don't care about and get my stumps set up first. No point wasting cedar starts; those don't appear as regularly in the shop.
