I've been playing this game for 12 years, and I still have totally random things happen that have never happened to me before. If anyone else has any, you're welcome to post them here.

Today I set the clock forward (for conplicated reasons) and it's raining outside. I'm pretty sure that when I walked out of my house the roof was purple. I went and talked to Portia, and she said something along these lines to me:

"Is it just me, or is it raining harder than usual? I ask that because the paint on your roof is peeling off. See? You get what you pay for! Buy cheap paint, and it's gonna peel off!"

To which I replied, "okay, tell me another place I can buy paint besides Nook's." And I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I remembered that I actually recently had Wisp paint my roof purple. Anyways, I walk back to my house, and now the roof is white! I've had scenarios where villagers are randomly like "oh btw I painted your roof lol" but I've never had the paint "peel off" of my roof. Luckily I believe tomorrow's paint at Nook's shop will be purple, so I'll set the clock forward one more day so it stops raining.

I'm going back to college in about three days, and since I'm not taking my Gamecube I wanted to finish my bug encyclopedia. The only bugs I'm missing are the migratory locust, pine cricket, and bell cricket, and all three can be caught in September between 5-7pm. (I'm also missing the banded dragonfly but I can get that right now so I don't need to change the clock for that.) Unfortunately I have to change the clock again because it's raining on September 1st.

that the ******* who just zooms straight through the acre and despawns if it reaches the end, due to how acre mechanics work? thus leaving you with a very short window of opportunity?

Yeah lol

Somehow I managed to catch one on my older player, so I'm sure I could do it again. But yeah when they pop up like you gotta be READY right then and there or you'll just flat-out miss it. Plus if it goes even a little bit too far off screen it'll just disappear, due to how the game loads nearby acres. It's annoying.
