Red Turnip advice?

Well, I'm gonna plan to get the golden axe, so I pulled a all nighter by accident and at 6 I played and bought 100 White Turnips and Red Turnip seeds. I plan to give the red turnip to Wendell for the next step but I have to grow it first....

So any tips?
