Redd fake art

So, since I’ve put Redd in Harvy’s campsite, he keeps sending me occasionally fake art, even though the art I selected was real; is anyone else experiencing this? It’s starting to really frustrate me. This must be a new feature as when he stopped by via boat this was not a problem and I knew the art I received was real(I use a guide to see what’s real and what’s fake as I imagine most do). Now that he’s in the campsite there are two pieces of art available and last time both appeared to be real, though the one I got sent was appraised by Blathers to be fake. It’s the second time this has happened. Would love some input/info on this

Well I think if you only buy from Redd he will start to sell more fake or real painting/status the next day. Like yesterday I bought a fake amazing painting and he was also selling a real Jolly Painting. Then the next day he was selling a Beautiful statue which turned out to be fake and he was still selling the Real Jolly Painting. I think if you were to wait a whole week next week by Monday he wills start selling different paintings and statues on Harvs island similar to Leif with his new crops.

Yeah I just realized I was using the wrong guide lol was using the old one instead of the new one; they’ve apparently changed how the new fake ones look for this game and I didn’t bother cross checking until today. Conclusion, the “real” paintings I thought I was buying were actually fake. Bought a painting today that has no fake version and I hope he sends me the real one when I check later tonight or he’ll be meeting my baseball bat next time I see him

I was wondering about this because every time I’ve bought a painting from him it’s always been a real one. But the fake ones are a lot harder to discern from the real ones in NH! Make sure to use the guide and click “let me take a look” to study all the details.
On a side note.. I think a lot of people would like to take a baseball bat to Redd… but doesn’t he seem like the type that would send a bunch of guys after you to beat you up if you tried to mess with him? The mafia type or something? Idk haha
