Redd's Art tent during August?

Redd hasn't visited in the month of August. I assume it is because he is coming on Sundays? At this rate, it'll take years to get all of the paintings for the museum.

I haven't seen him the whole month. Gracie hasn't come for the third fashion check in 9 days. Even Pascal didn't come to swap my scallop.

In August there is the firework event on Sundays and he has a tent set up with cookies. I've been wondering is that has been counting as his weekly visit.

I saw his tent earlier this month and claimed a painting from him. It is definitely random.

He does come during August because he was in my town the other day, but it is random when he shows up. His art tent won't show up on a holiday, also, so the large number of holidays this month certainly lowers the chances of him appearing.

He was in my town the two days ago, I didn't buy anything from him though it was all fake!

He definitely shows up because both me and my brother saw him in our towns. I think it's totally random. @charmed girl, he always has at least one real piece of art that's real.

He does still come. (He's in my town now) But I have noticed there has been next to no visitors to my towns. I've had Katrina once in my main, twice in my alt, Gulliver once each and now Redd today. No Gracie at all (both towns got TIY end of July!), and Pascal seems to have given up on my mediocre diving skills.

I feel like I'm being punished. Atleast I got a Lovely phone to tell me my lucky items now and I've been TTing/restarting a third town to get horse villagers for my alt, so I've gotten a couple paintings from that.

I've played every single day since June 10. I don't ever TT except for setting the clock by a few hours if I need to. I also have the lovely phone and I change oitfits each day and don't ever trip so I know it isn't luck. Katrina only came once in August too. I did finally get Gracie for the third test this week. And Gulliver today - who was hiding on the secluded beach. September is only a few days away. Hopefully, he'll make up for it then.

If anybody wants to trade real paintings, PM me! I haven't seen redd much either, but have been getting loads of paintings via my villagers or trade!
I have a thread (i've only ever made two, so it's easy to find) showing paintings I have and need.

I did the resetting method, often used on villager house placement, to make Redd spawn.

Redd made up for his August-no-show today. He finally arrived and has two of the paintings that are never fake.
