I literally just redid my island and I pretty much completed it all except for a small part and I’m already thinking about redoing it again. I don’t want to restart because I have so many DIYs and furniture items catalogued. I just want to redo the way I decorated and the lay out and terraforming. So basically restarting without restarting. How many times have you redone your island? Any tips/tricks? What themes do you all have on your island? Any help is appreciated lol

I spent all of last year redoing mine with a small hiatus in late summer. I did some more work throughout November and December and have kept that layout since. I like it right now. Not sure how long that will last though, especially since I'm putting more attention on my second island right now.

Most people would say to decide on a theme. I'm going to go a bit different and suggest that before you do anything, lay out the paths (regular and custom), flower colors, and fencing you want to use in an area and take a picture to help decide a color palette you like.

If you have any furniture that you must use, put it there too so you can get a feel of how everything will look together.

That will help you get your island to look more cohesive if you want all the areas in the island to look similar.

I’ve redone my island so many times. Sometimes I tear it down to even redo it exactly a it was before.
The temptation to redo it right now is strong, but I’m hanging in there. My island right now is the closet I move gotten to look semi completed.

That’s really interesting, I’ve never done it that way before I’ve always just picked a theme. A color palette would be super helpful because that was definitely something I noticed with my furniture last time was it didn’t seem to all fit all throughout my island, like there were parts that fit nicely and parts that stood out because the colors were off
