Relationships/Pen Pals?

Hey guys I was wondering what you guys thought about dating people or pen pals from animals crossing as the source? I remember when I was 16 I began dating someone for a meet up on this site around the time of CF, it was great and fun and now im almost 20 and the relationship is long over, with the younger guys+ the launch of NL makes me think about it is all.

I met my now husband on World of Warcraft. We've been together for 4+ years. Its not strange at all

See I love that! I hear all the time "met my___ from ign or WOW or halo" but it doesn't come up as much as it seemed to when I was younger. And honestly it seems more interesting to me then the ways I have been meeting girls it may be that I'm fit, and don't look like the "typical nerd" but when I get to know people in my town when they see my place or what I like to do on rest days, they get all shallow and stuck up like there interests are "better" than mine... :/

I dont think its weird at all the internet and now games are becoming
just other ways to meet people.
As long as you meet in real life and still have the connection then who's
to say its weird lol

I met my fiance online talked on the phone for two years before meeting
in 2009, i was in high school then.
Then i came down a few more times to visit him that year
When i graduated in 2010 i moved out to south dakota to live with him (i lived in ohio)
Been together for about 5 years now and i love him to death :3

When you create a thread, its one of the options with a little square.

Mm.. I'd say that it depends on the situation. If you eventually get to know them outside of the game, then yeah, it's really like any other relationship. (albeit long distance most of the time)

But if it's one of those in-game only "relationships", then LOL.. yeah, no. That's not even a semi-relationship. That's called playing pretend.

LOL'D so hard at the last part hehe reminded me of the Big Bang theory pretend "no Bernadette I wasn't really going to sleep with her just my avatar was, I'm sure she's really a 300 pound dude in his moms basement it's just pretend really" haha yeah glad a lot of people agree maybe I just don't hang around with the right people...
