If you've ever gone on Wi-Fi in wild world, You might have heard people talking about seeds.
Now, You may be asking yourself, "What are seeds?" Well, Seeds are another word for hacks on animal crossing: Wild World using action replay. They can either be harmless, Or they can destroy your Wild World cartridge. If you use too many harmless seeds, unusual things begin to occur, such as trees changing colors that don't match the seasons (Or aren't even in the game at all). If you have too many seeds on a wild world cartridge, The game will act up and begin crashing, Sometimes you have to make a new town, Or worse, Buy a new cartridge altogether and waste 10/15$. I can tell you may be wondering: "Where do seeds come from?". Seeds were used as a beta tool when Nintendo was working on Wild World, To see how much it can take with items being placed, And were found by average-day people. They began using them, Mostly for bad causes. The bad causes include: Placing rocks in front of doors, deleting buildings, Putting things in front of your gate and house. There are groups of people (Called "seeders") that have a goal to literally obliterate people's cartridges on Wild world. Here are some tips to keep seeders out of your town. Never invite players you don't know into your town. This should only be used if you have been seeded before, But it's ok to take early precautions. If you do invite players you don't know, Keep an eye on them. Seeders tend to run out of your line of site, Drop seeds (Some tend to be leaf-like furniture.), And don't tend to be around you. When they do this, Try and find/follow them, saying: "Where are you going?" Or just follow them and see what they drop. If the item Says Not used or doesn't have a name when you look at it, Disconnect immediately, For that is a dangerous seed. If there is a seeder in you're town, Do NOT panic. I have been seeded before, and that time I was hiding in my house, Panicking because I saw that the post office wasn't there (Seeds take effect when you enter a building). The second time? I confronted the seeder, demanding what he was doing in my town. You shouldn't be afraid of a person who goes out of their way to screw up your town. If you see something weird, Like a building missing, DO NOT SAVE. If you see an odd occurrence (Mentioned in the beginning, But there are more than that), Shut off your game. Seeders will come back, Asking you to save, Coming with excuses, Such as "I bought a hat" Or "I caught a rare bug". If you won't save, They will begin harassing you, And will run in the town hall to save by themselves. When this happens, Turn of the game, or run as fast as you can to the town gate and select "Party's Over". A great quirk is if you turn off the power during Wi-Fi is that You-Know-Who won't come and nag at you, So don't be afraid to turn off the power. If the seeder comes again, ask why he did that before and if he tries to seed you, Turn off the power. If they say "Shut up, I'm going to seed you", Warn him once more and give him one more chance to redeem him/herself. If he/she seeds you, Turn off the power and ask a de-seeder (They get rid of seeds) to help you get rid of the seeds. Last but not least, Forgive and forget. If the seeder wants to apologize (This DOES happen), Don't be afraid to be friends. If he wants to stop seeding, Don't be the one to bring it back up, But it can be worth a laugh once in a while. Seeders aren't cold and heartless. We all have hearts. Thank you for reading. -MadCake
