The time has come. I am officially done with Happy Home Designer, and since I’m also done with Pokémon Sun/Moon, Pokémon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon, and Animal Crossing: New Leaf, it’s time that I have to put the 3DS into retirement. It’s been a good eight years of it. I remember back when I had my first 3DS, all I played were the Streetpass Plaza games and AR Card games. They were fun back in the day, and I thought that this handheld is going to be a very cool one in the future.
Now going over the topic of the blog, I would like to share my last many 3DS photos, which covers seven of the facilities I made. Back in 2015, I did something called Theme of the Week, where I decorate some villager houses and facilities to follow the week’s theme, and in 2016, I’ve been more interested into the California theme as I redecorated all facilities to resemble the California theme. I eventually had to redesign them, but they have been reverted to the CA theme, which is the exact theme Andrea’s house followed in MoonGlow.
Back when I did Theme of the Week, the school was always the first facility in spotlight. If this were based on a school from the 2000s, then the subjects taught indicate that this is not a good school. But this is based on the future of schools, which I predict that every classroom (with the exception of gyms, science labs, and classrooms involving other physical work such as cooking and ceramics), will have all work on the computer. This includes math, elements of design, and teaching education (where you learn how to be a teacher). It even applies to elementary schools. Back when I was in school, there used to be a class that teaches you how to use the computer and how to use Microsoft Office. I think a class like that still exists as of now, but this school I made in HHD implies that classes like that are obsolete. In fact, if this is true about the future, people would be surprised that there used to be a class for computer teaching.
How does it follow the California theme? Well, Northern California (more specifically, Silicon Valley) is the center of computerized technology. It’s home to most social networking corporations like Facebook and Twitter and tech companies like Apple and Google.
Back in the early days of Happy Home Designer, I designed one of my greatest designs for facilities, which was a Mexican restaurant. I even got a lot of likes on the Happy Home Network for this project. But after a while of no updates, I had to update it to make it look better. I think this is the fourth or fifth incarnation of the Mexican restaurant. This was an idea I liked so much that I made the back room in Andrea’s house in ACNL resemble it. California has a large Hispanic influence, and it’s one of the best states for Mexican food (Texas being the other). I would’ve had this restaurant if I followed the Texas theme too.
Sorry if the photos are not the same size. I uploaded them to my computer through my SD card, put them on a Word document, and saved them to my photos on my iPhone. But that doesn’t matter because the purpose is to show what I done in Happy Home Designer.
