My goal in New Horizons is to build a village on the island that is full of references to the animated web series RWBY, and to have villagers that represent variious aspects of the show. So far the ideas I have are:
Hans - One of my all time favorite villagers. I picked him to represent the Gorilla-like Grimm called Beringals. These things are awesome and I would love to reference one. Since this show is a fantasy action show, I decided to pick out the gorilla villager most resembeling a (supposedly) fictional ape. I REALLY like Hans and think he would be a great islander to have with me.
Cherry - This one was suggested to me by another user on this site. Cinder Fall is one of the biggest villains in the series. Due to her missing an eye thanks to main protagonist Ruby Rose, Cnder now covers it with black cloth, similar to Cherry's spot over her eye. Plus Black and Red, while Ruby's signiture colors, are also important colors for Cinder as well.
Rory - This guy being a Lion is a perfect reference to Professor Lionheart, who in turn is based on the Cowardly Lion. This show has TONS of characters who are loosely based on other fictional characters. I feel it works well, even if the personality of Jock villagers don't really fit him.
Fang - A friend suggested this one to me, and I can see why. A white wolf named Fang would be a perfect double reference to both the terrorist ground known as The White Fang, as well as the wolf-like Grimm called Beowolves. I feel this guy would be a perfect fit overall as it adds two references to the series in one go.
Octavian - There is a jellyfish-like Grimm called a Seer. While not exactly an Octopus, it lives on land much like the octopi villagers. I feel his cranky personality makes him a great fit for the island as well as it fits the role of a monster, which Grimm are.
However, that is only 5 villagers. I need to cover EVERY type. I think we can have 10 villagers on the island right? I feel that would work and with some advice I could make a island that celebrates everything awesome about the beloved web series. Just let me know if you have any suggestions. I am geting the game somewhere between 9 and 11 a.m. tomorrow, and will be resetting to get a town with Apples or Cherries as my fruit, while picking up any of these listed villagers. Please, let me know if you have any suggestions.
