Do yall think this is the return of the recycling bin? I always loved that feature in cf and ww :,0 I would much prefer it over the dump too. What do you guys think?
If it is, do you think we can find recipes inside?
I liked it when I was trying to get a villager to throw out a certain item. I'd keep mailing them stuff, and checking the recycle bin. More often then not, they would throw out the item, having replaced it with whatever I sent.
I'd also love it, if they'd bring it back. Checking the recycling bin was part of my daily routine back in WW and CF. I once found a throne in it, because Elvis threw it out after I gave him an item he requested, which really surprised me.
I think the chest will contain the lost&found items instead, at least at the start of the game. Maybe the lost&found will be moved to another place/NPC later in the game and maybe we can build a recycling bin again. At least that's what I hope for the recycling bin
I would love to find items again in the recycle bin. It's always neat to see what's in there or not. Of course, it's been such a long time since I played the old games, that I forgot that the recycle bin had this feature of finding items in it. If it does come back, hopefully there will be rare items or recipes you can find from time to time.
Having never played Wild World and not enjoying and subsequently quitting City Folk fairly early on, I never encountered the recycling bin. Don't know whether that's what the picture shows, but if it is then I'm fine with it returning so I can experience it.
Not in the same way.
You used to be able to get a villager to throw something away and replace it with something you sent, and usually, the replaced item could be found in the recycle bin, but in New Leaf, they don't always use what you sent them, and the item you want won't end up in Re-Tail.
They mainly put things in there that aren't even on display, like the rarer Cardboard Set and Sloppy Furniture.
Also the stationary and pitfall seeds don't show up in Re-Tail.
It looks more as a lost and found as someone else had said, but I would be open to the recycling returning again. I would prefer more if there was a recycling alongside item selling as Reese did with the fee. I always thought of it as her charging as a fee for recycling the items for you, ahaha. It was convenient as Reese has unlimited space as opposed to a container with a limited one.
Would be cool if the recycling bin gets a comeback, not sure however if it's one in the picture. Looks more like a lost and found bin, since it also has a question mark on it. After all, I wouldn't mind seeing also a comeback of the dump from the Game Cube title, as that one was also pretty useful in my opinion.
