so. i had to re-install and now my paint bucket isn't working. i used to be able to just use selection source and use the paint bucket to fill my lines. weird thing is, when i do a test circle, it fills it normally, when i try to fill my linework it just paints the whole pages. it's getting slightly frustrating >___> i'm 99.% sure there are no breaks in my lines but i just have no idea why it's not working for my lineart T_____________T

like, when i use the magic wand it selects just my linework just fine D;

Are you making sure you have the lineart layer active when filling in stuff with your bucket tool? I wouldn't recommend using it since you'll probably want the lineart and colour to be in different layers :0

You can select the lineart with the magic want tool (I think that's the name) and then switch to the coloring layer and fill it in there!

hmm, i coulda sworn the way i did it before was to selection source the lineart layer then bucket a layer below and it would work as long as bucket was set to selection source as well. so they would still be different layers. idk why its not working now .__. im pretty sure im using the same version of sai too T___T

Gimp does this all the time. Heres the method I use:

Outline with the color (right inside the art)
and then use the fill tool

I use the selection source method too, my settings are "color difference" with 0. but this way the sections are not filled clean, you still have to color yourself at edges and stuff...
