SAKURA FESTIVAL - 2009

The time is coming up where the trees in Animal Crossing will turn a beautiful fresh pink color and resemble that of Cherry Blossoms, or Sakura. Each year there is a festival held to honor and celebrate these gorgeous flowering trees and the beauty they share.

I suggest we have a festival of our own from April 1st - April 8th, then the blossoms are in bloom.

Organize get-togethers and play in the trees, go fishing and see who can catch a Koi, Dress up and make pretty kimonos and yukatas. Give out prizes. Wear masks and stuff. Have fun, it's a festival!

I'll make a list of people who are going to be hosting parties here. The blossoms only come once a year, so let's enjoy them!

HOW TO HOST A PARTY

So I know some of you want to host a party, but don't know where to get started. I'm going to help you by giving you some ideas.

Hosting a Party isn't that difficult to do if you plan things out and remember that everyone is there to have fun.

First what you want to do is set up a time and date for your party.
Next think about some things to do. There are plenty of creative things you can do to help your guests have fun.
There's fishing Tourneys
Bug-catching
fossil hunts
treasure hunts
pictures
plays and skits.
playing pretend
hide and seek
tag
races
wrestling

You don't have to do all of these, you can even make up your own games and things to do. There's no right or wrong way to have a party.

THEME PARTIES!
Since this theme is Cherry blossoms and cherry blossoms are primarily associated with Japan, you can make this party Japanese-themed. Pretend you're going to a small Japanese festival. Decorate your houses like Tea houses or carnival areas. Dress in Kimonos. Make your own kimono or yukata. Have fun.
