Save Transfer Tool , AC:NL 3dsXL Help?

okay SO I have a physical copy of the game, but I have also ordered the AC:NL 3dsXL bundle which is on its way to me~ I was just wondering if anybody has used the Save Data Transfer tool which is recently available in the Nintendo E-shop to transfer their save from the physical copy to the digital copy? does it actually work?? I've seen it for other games but not Animal crossing ... just wanted to know what peoples experiences have been with this :3

I popped in my cartridge to my pikachu XL, loaded the save transfer tool, transferred it to my digital version within seconds. Quick and easy, no slips.
And it works for ACNL, yes
