I don't know much, this is my first time actively participating in a forum thing but I'm growing a liking already, planning to stay around a bit but wondering if anyone knows of any active forums that are just like Brewster's cafe? No particular theme just general convo?
Sorry if this could be solved by googling, I'm not too good at finding the right things.
I don't know if you're already familiar with it or not, but I'd suggest The IGN Boards. It was the most active (and oldest) forum that I've ever used. I currently don't use it anymore (although I tried returning*), but there was lots of off-topic discussion about nearly everything and anything (including things you can't discuss here). Rules were also pretty relaxed, which I always appreciated (I NEVER got any warnings or suspensions there. Ever. Hopefully, things haven't changed).
Just keep in mind that the userbase over there is a lot older than this one (there's regulars who have had accounts since like 2000-2005), and it's mostly males. Excessively uptight/serious individuals with no sense of humor should probably also stay out of The Vesti (the most "infamous" section of the forum, which was also the most active and exciting. It can get pretty dumb sometimes though, ha ha).
*The account registration button doesn't function sometimes, and that's what prevented me from re-using the IGN Boards. This is a known issue.
This is the most active forum that I know of, unfortunately. I think it will continue to stay active, especially with the frequent events. Most forums have a general theme, but most of them have a section for off topic conversation. I personally don’t participate in much of the Animal Crossing talk. I spend most of my time in Brewster’s Cafe.
Honestly forums are kind of a dying breed. This is one of the most active forums I've been to in ages. I don't really actively follow any forums. Nowadays people use discord or other social media sites like Twitter/Reddit.
