I enjoy the game, characters, and the long term playability.
Not a fan of micro-transactions, I stopped playing for about 4 months after not getting Celeste, missing out by about 3 leafs. I still don't have her or Brewster. (sigh) And have since accepted the game with reduced expectations. Lots of very cool scenery and swag.. just not likely to happen. But that's just me. YMMV.
I like maintaining a well stocked market, not just random excess, but try to maintain what people may need. It is an effort, but one I enjoy. For instance, my local fruit is lemon, so I set aside 3 boxes with 3,3,10 , or 3,10,10. I also try to maintain a couple of boxes with non-local fruit, with smaller amounts, just to help others that might not have a friend that has them. Also boxes for the three uncommons, Black Bass, Red Snapper, and Horned Dynastids, that villagers will request. Remaining are filled with commons and rares. Seasonals are an interesting case.. not sure what best to do with them (dragon flies, sea stars, etc).
Back a couple of months ago there was a rash of people coming by, cleaning out all my boxes.. but they never had anything in their own market?!?! So, I restricted to just friends.. and then unfriended those that were a pain. So... buy what you want, make sure you've got good stuff (like I mentioned above) that I can get from you and all will be fine
