Sculpey Adventure - MARSHAL Figurine

I... uh... found my few-year-old Sculpey today. Hard as a rock and really tough to work with... my hands are aching... but I made a figurine of Marshal! I had no proper tools, no softener, no brushes, nothing, so... it's quite mediocre, but I think it'll be pretty cute once it's painted. I had to prop him up with his tail since he was so top heavy!

He's baking right now, but he should be done soon, and then I can post pictures before I give him a base coat of white paint. I'm super duper excited

I *may* commission and sell these for $ one day... but not until I have fresh clay and proper tools. It took me waaaaay too long. It's not worth the time and aching hands!

I can't wait to see it. I've always wanted to buy some sculpey clay to play around with. I see people buying it all the time where I work and always get interested every time I see it, the feeling eventually passes by the end of my shift though or I just forget about it all together. I hope to see more from you if this Marshal turns out good c:

He came out pretty well! Some minor cracks around his tail base and a slight bubble on his chest, must've been an air pocket between the Sculpey and the tin foil... ah well! Pretty happy with it considering how old and crappy this clay is. Will sand, base coat, and post pics soon!

Wow the past few days have been rough.

Finished Marshal, though - his shirt dried a much different color than I expected, and I tried to move his mouth up, only to make it crooked, but... hey, he's still pretty cute.

Maybe eventually I'll raffle a custom one or two, but the time spent to money I'd earn ratio was just way too off to do regularly
