Seasonal Balloon Recipe Tips?

Trying to get all the Cherry blossom recipes on my new file. I don't time travel and only have a small number so far, so I'm hoping to grind a lot today for them. On my first file I was never able to get them all. Any and all tips for collecting all the seasonal balloon recipes would be appreciated.

All I can say is listen to the wind noise whenever there is a Balloon Gift nearby. It takes 5 to 10 minutes for the balloons to respawn. I would check the beaches since the Balloon gifts tend to spawn. Also pay attention to the chimney smoke on the buildings to indicate which direction the wind is blowing if its left or right.

As VanitasFan26 stated, balloons spawn either every 5 minutes or 10 minutes. Finding out which of those cycles you are on will help tell you when you need to be on the lookout for the next balloon to come floating along.

My advice would be, keep your sound on so you can listen for them, but do something else at the same time like watch a movie so you dont feel too bored.

If you haven't already, what I did was to make a bunch of jail bars (or use some similarly tall item), then place them along the edge of the beach, where the beach meets the grassy part of the map, leaving a half-tile between each. The balloons won't be able to fly over them, so they'll fly south instead, meaning you simply have to wait there to shoot down the balloons, rather than walking up and down your beach and hoping you don't miss them. Don't forget that you can also get the recipes from Kapp'n, so even if you missed some, you may get them before next year. Even better chances if you get the belongings blessing from Katrina.
