When the second series of cards got revealed, and Jack was among them, my first thought was that he would be the only way to get the spooky items, and the same would apply to Nat (bug) and Chip (fish). But I've found an image that says otherwise.
This definitely makes me happier. I was mildly annoyed that I might not be able to unlock all furniture items unless I got a specific amiibo card, but now I can see that's most likely not the case. Hopefully this is for all furniture series that are tied to an event, though I don't see any reason for that to not happen now that the Halloween set is free.
Sadly this does kind of cut down any speculation that Wisp would be in these games and use the Creepy series as his exclusive set, but fingers crosses he'll make an appearance.
