Hello. I stopped playing for a few months as I got busy with work. I TTd back to the last day I had played(April). I tried to look for the children’s day items and they weren’t showing in my nooklings shop on any of the days it’s available. I was always able to go back and get items that I missed but now it seems I can’t. Had this happened to anyone else?

Children's day was early June, wasn't it? Make sure the date is right- it goes by the date you've set, not the actual date.

Also, they don't show up in the shop- check the catalog under "seasonal or event items" (I forget exactly what it's called, lol)

For Children's Day stuff I think you have to back to between June 1st through 15th. They should show up in the promotional tag on your nook machine catalog or phone app, they won't be in the Nookling/Able's shops.

Children’s day is actually the beginning of may (the actual children’s day irl in Japan is may 5th) but everything else above is correct, you buy from the nook shopping app. FYI - according to nookipedia the items are available from april 28th - may 5th
Whoops, my bad! I... could've sworn I Googled it and it said June, and I could've sworn I saw that crown and cape recently, but I guess not 😅

Ohh…I was thinking the carp banner and the paper crown. But the handmade cape and crown was earlier this month, you are right. I also feel like the beginning of may was just a couple weeks ago, but that is just my brain being overwhelmed by life getting busy again 😅

But then I googled it now and it seems the official children's day was when you said, so IDK, maybe the crown and cape were for something else?

I'm so confused 😂 I'd double-check what it says they're for in my game, but I'm currently TTing in February for rainbow feathers, lol

First and foremost, make sure that your game is updated to the current version (1.10)

There are technically two Children's Day seasonal events
  • Children's Day, which is April 26-May 5. It offers the Carp Banner & Newsprint Helmet.
  • International Children's Day, which is June 1-15. It offers the Handmade Cape & Handmade Crown.
Edit: Fixed the mix-up.

I don’t want to be annoying, but I am pretty sure the items are reversed. The carp banner is part of japan’s children’s day (kodomo no hi) which is May 5th.

Your explanation definitely explains the confusion over when the children’s day items are available though. There are two children’s days! 😅

Fixed the post. Thanks for telling me.
