I have my mayor's house fully built and laid out. I was thinking of starting a second character to set up a themed house.

- Does this take away from the number of villagers I have?
- Do I need to actively need to play the other character a lot or can I just use them for a second house?
- Are there other know advantages/disadvantages to a second house/character?

Thanks.

1. A second character doesn't affect your villagers
2. No, you can use them just to store things if you like, you don't have to play them actively.
3. Hmm. An advantage would be that you can store more things like designs, clothes, etc. imo a disadvantage would be the extra house would take up a lot of space In my town and that would bother me. My sister has a house in my town but she plays actively so it doesn't bug me

Some advantages to having a second character is that you can get twice the amount of carpets and wallpapers from Saharah when she comes around. You can get multiple fortunes from Katrina to help speed up getting her on Main Street. And it's rare, but sometimes Redd has two genuine pieces of art and having two characters allows you to get both.

You can't get twice the amount of Gulliver gifts, and Gracie only checks one person when she comes over.
