Selling customized furniture in Re-Tail

Can animals buy customized furniture if you put them up in Re-Tail? Because I have a customized furniture with a design on it I want to give to one of my villagers.

I'm pretty sure they can, yeah .. You can definitely give them customised furniture if they ask for some furniture, so I don't see why not.. Just obviously push them to it, and try and buy everything else

Whevever I try to push them towards the furniture, they never ping for it. I guess I can give it another try.
