Serenity: Island of Penguins

Sept 13th

Ione’s Birthday was on Sunday. Maggie was there to celebrate with her.

I made her an orange pound cake

It was also the day Tybalt came to visit the campsite. He took a lot of convincing to move to Serenity. When ended up playing musical houses. He either kept saying no to moving or I would pick the wrong color card. So when he finally said yes to moving it and asking Marty to leave I said yes.

Today he was unpacking

I’m now working on getting Marty back. He will move on to Audie’s house in a couple of days. It will be sad to see Audie go but maybe we will see here again someday.

I was trying to find a few tiger prawns but kept finding scallops instead.

I need to find at least a few more before the end of the month since they will no longer be available after September. I g go pound none so I had Luna try her luck since she needs to work on the diving achievement anyway.

Luna also still needed to meet the new neighbors.

Luna was only successful in finding one tiger prawn. I wonder why they are so hard to find. She also found a sea creature she hadn’t seen yet. Always wish for ice cream.

I found a really great idea on Twitter today and planning on how to make it. Will post pictures when I’m done. Might be a bit since I need to find so many stones to make it work. I was able to get some stones from my other island Jurai. Also working through an idea for the area leading up to my shopping plaza. So excited for when I have time to really work on it.

Sept 22nd

Ione asked to move the other day so we said goodbye. Maybe we will see you again.
Today we were able to ask Eloise to move to Serenity thanks to help from @themysterybidder . We are so excited for Eloise to move in tomorrow.

Frett is sick today. He seemed better after giving him some medicine.

Marty got a package that was supposed to go to Tangy. So I offered to deliver it for him.

I gave Tangy her package and she had forgotten what it was. She had me guess and I got it right.

The bug off is this weekend. Too bad I’m stuck working all weekend. Maybe next time.

Sept 23th

Good morning
Eloise has safety made it to Serenity.

I would love to help you unpack but I have a busy day as well. 12hour work day.

We have to hang out another day .

I wonder why Tangy and Aurora are hiding behind the bulletin board.

Seeing Nook and Isabelle getting in their morning stretches reminds me I really need to go back to stretching in the morning.

Dream address won’t be updated until after I finish decorating the island for fall.

Sept 27th

It been a crazy couple of days. With everyone here preparing for the hurricane. Work was insane with people panic buying.( I work in a grocery store) thankfully off yesterday and today and now the store will be closed for the next two days. Hurricane prep is done for the house so now we wait and see how bad it gets.

I have been enjoying reworking some areas. Simple panel ideas are not mine. They are from yanchagirl on Twitter

Updated beach dessert cafe

Updated walkway to the shops.

Flower shop : trying to decide what to add to the right side of the ramp.

This area next to nooks has been a few different things. It started as a cafe, then pumpkin patch followed by a place for gyroids. I think this is my favorite. Pizzeria and book store.

Oct 3rd

We made it through the storm just fine. Lost power for a few days but got it back last night. Has some clean up to do but nothing to bad.

I made a pancake house next to the flower shop.

I got my rock to go move to to correct place. It actually didn’t take as long as I thought it would.

I had Kapp’n take me to an island to look for stone. I finally found some when finishing.

Frett was sick the other day. He seems to get a cold often.

Oct 13th

Unfortunately we received some bad news this week and my motivation to play kinda left for a few days. My mother was diagnosed with cancer. She is a fighter and we will figure this out one step at a time

I walked out and for the first time in awhile there was a double rainbow . Maybe it’s a sign things will get better.

I did play a bit of the fishing tournament on the weekend.

The villagers enjoyed themselves.

Oct 20th

So close to having all the DIY’s for island rep Kaylynne. I thought I was done but still missing three. I thought I had them.
Will keep trying.

Oct 22nd : Kaylynne

One of the goals I had set for myself was getting all the DIY’s for my island rep. Thanks to the help of people here and a special thanks to @themysterybidder that goal has been reached. Thanks so much.
The last DIY I needed

It has been raining on Serenity the last few days. That’s probably why Maggie was sick today so I brought her some medicine.

I found a journal on my walk . It belongs to Aurora. She was happy to have it back.

Tybalt wanted me to guess what muscles he was working out. He was happy when I guessed correctly.

Serena:

Serena has been working on HHP and now has 10 vacation homes decorated.
She can now scan in Amiibo cards, got an app for her nook phone . She made a school and can polish items. Also use partitions.

Oct 25th

I remembered to check the bulletin board and found out that Oct 30th will be a big day on Serenity. Frett and Wade have Birthdays that day.

Not much time to play today , I did go to a Kapp’n island and he took me to a shooting star island.

Serena played on HHP and got a promotion. She also got to pick which new facility to make . She made a restaurant.

Today is Wade and Frett’s Birthday.

Seems weird Isabelle didn’t mention Wade’s Birthday in her announcement.

Oct 30 ( continued )

Tomorrow is Halloween and it should be so much fun. It has been nice seeing the island transform with holiday decorations.

Timmy ,Tommy , Isabelle, Nook , Orville , Mable have all gotten into the holiday spirit with hats.

It’s bad we can’t have that wall decoration with the leaves and acorns so cute .

I wonder why Sable , Kapp’n and Wilbur didn’t put on Halloween hats.
Lottie , Niko and Wardell didn’t have Halloween hats either but there is a decoration in the office.

I got Marty’s photo yesterday and Tybalt’s photo today. Now just trying for Eloise to get a photo from .

Eloise making sure I get enough sleep since she isn’t.

Oct 31 : Happy Halloween

Hope everyone had a great day . It was fun seeing the villagers get dressed up . I played as Serena since Kaylynne and Luna had already played through Halloween.

Serena learned new DIY’s , emotions and got some nice furniture. Tangy , Eloise and Aurora stayed inside their homes giving out candy.

Nov 5th

We had a visitor in the campsite the other day and now we have a new friend.

New friends means saying goodbye to Tangy. We can ask you back at another time. It’s too bad we can’t have more then 10 villagers.

Marty and Tybalt had a fight over snacks . Marty asked if I could help out.

Nov 8th

Well we are back under storm warning right now it’s only tropical storm but should be a hurricane sometime today or early tomorrow. Luckily this one shouldn’t be as bad.
Last night when I went to HHP Buck was there so I made him a vacation home . Two floors. Outside gym , locker room first floor and bedroom 2nd floor. I will probably go back and change a few things.

C.J was here yesterday I asked him for a model of a ray after his challenge.

I got an cute music player from Maggie . I wish they would give you the option to say yes when asked if you were looking for something.

I gave Biskit a new shirt in the mail and now this hat . I think he likes them.

Serena went to HHP this morning to make a Cafe . Buck was there so she also got to make him a Vacation home. Made some changes since Serena can’t make the second floor yet.

Nov 12th

This week feels like it went by fast. Biskit was making lunch earlier today and gave me a recipe. He was very proud of himself.

Maggie wasn’t feeling well today . Hopefully she feels better soon.

I went over to Frett’s house and he told me about his personal treasure.

Frett also told me about Tybalt coming over to visit him. Tybalt forgot something at his house and asked me to return it to Tybalt.

Unfortunately Tybalt had already bought a replacement since he forgot he left it at Frett’s house .

Wade was crafting this evening.

Serena has been learning new DIY’s and I have collected some extra ones so I probably will have a giveaway soon.

Also started playing Harvestella and even though I haven’t gotten far yet it’s been so much fun.

It’s maple leaf season .

Biskit has been into cooking lately this time he was making snack bread .

I found a notebook and it was easy to find who it belonged to .

He was happy to have it back .

It’s almost Turkey day and work is crazy busy .

Frett wants to go shopping but can’t remember what time it closes.

Nov 24th

Happy Thanksgiving
Hope everyone is having a great day . It’s time to help Franklin cook a thanksgiving meal . The first dish is clam chowder. So off to find 3 Manila clams.

Eloise was cooking and asked for a sea bass. So while I was looking for clams I looked for a sea bass too. When I finally found a sea bass Eloise gave me Manila clam in exchange. She also told me to add crab to gratin to make it taste even better.

Wade was also cooking today . He needed help getting a Dab. He gave me a green pumpkin in exchange. He told me meunière needs a stripy fish . I think he means the barred knifejaw .

Flo was also cooking and asked for a sea. bass so back to fishing I got a skinny mushroom in exchange. She told me you should be scallops in the clam chowder so went to find one. It took forever to find and felt bad for saying no to Pascal when he wanted it.

Marty was the last villager cooking. He asked for a horse mackerel. So glad I already had one with me. He gave me a flat mushroom. He told me about pumpkin pie and you need lots of color. Guess it time to go to the pumpkin patch.

I gave Franklin the clams and he gave me a rug . The next thing to make is pumpkin pie. I also gave Franklin the scallop for the clam chowder. He gave me Turkey day casserole for the scallop.

Franklin wanted orange and green pumpkins for the pie. He gave me a turkey day wall. Next gave him white and yellow pumpkins and got a turkey day garden stand.

Gratin in the next dish . He needs flat mushroom and carrots. I already had the flat mushroom thanks to Marty. Now to get the carrots from the farm. I got Turkey day flooring . I gave Franklin a dungenese crab as a secret ingredient and got a turkey day hearth.

Turkey day part 2

The final dish is meunière. This time we need a sea bass and olive flounder. I already have both of those from when I was looking for a Dab earlier. Now I just need to find the barred Knifejaw as the secret ingredient.I got a cornucopia for the last dish. I also got recipes of the dishes. I finally found the barred knifejaw and got a DIY collection to make turkey day furniture.

It was fun gathering ingredients and helping my villagers get ingredients they needed.
