I first came across them on youtube and was surprised when you mentioned the bell tree! I am curious, will these Japanese cards show up as "English" when you scan them on your 3DS (assuming you don't have a Japanese version of the game)?
Also, where did you purchase this booster box? I tried looking online, but not much luck.

Amiibos (cards included) are not region locked. They will work with any New 3ds/NFC reader. I have a NA 3ds/NFC reader, game and several JP amiibo cards as well as the JP Villager amiibo. They work just fine and the name shows in english.

They're region free
All cards will work on all consoles worldwide just like Rendra says Eeeeeeeee Hamphrey and Rodney

I think some of those special characters would be really interesting. What kind of house would you make for Blanca, for example? I have no idea what I'd do! I'd have to think about it.

I regret not buying the whole box.. I only bought 37 packs and I'm missing 9 regulars and I have 20 specials that are doubles..
That sucks...
If you have the spare money, it's definitely worth paying a little extra to get a booster box

I had thought about it, and originally planned to, but with the Amiibo figures out too, I think I'm just going to stick to the Japanese versions... for now at least
