I would like to ask for the game for Christmas because l never owned any of those Mario games. I only rented them but still didn't finish Mario Galaxy. I know it has to go on sale during the seasons in November and December. But still l just don't want to pay 60$ for the game if it doesn't go on sale. I don't know how much this game is going to go up for on sale and the stores might sold out pretty quickly if it does.
Just going to edit the post to let people know that l did finished the games but not Mario Galaxy.

If you have a wii or wii u you can get Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 for 20 ish dollars each. And a copy of Super Mario 64 DS, which has more content and additional characters , is the superior version and is usually around 10 bucks.

Sunshine is like 50 bucks but it kinda sucks anyway.

Yeah it does sucks why that is 50 because it's so popular. I could try to find Mario 64 and Galaxy because l do have two Wii consoles. But l thought it was nice to get all 3 popular games in one. But l will think about Mario 64 for my 2ds.

I have another question so is the additional characters are like DLC that is already in the game for the DS version?

It is in the base game, there's no DLC. You just have the ability to unlock Mario, Luigi and Wario. You start off as Yoshi.

As for your question about whether you should get it or not, that's really up to you. You never played them, so getting this would let you play it. Pretty simple, really. However, just note these games are very obviously emulated and upscaled somewhat poorly (especially Sunshine) and is very noticeable in some cases. So if graphic quirks annoy you, may not be the best to get it.

I did played the games. I just never got to finish Galaxy. But the emulated part isn't that bad right for switch controls?

I got 3D All-Stars because I really wanted to be able to play all of these games on the same system, and without having to constantly swap out cartridges/discs.

So it came down to convenience for me.

No, they control just fine. Its just the games definitely have emulation quirks. If you can ignore those, I'd say go for it.

There was no paid dlc in the ds era lol, also if you wanna play them on your wii theres a ton of great guides on how to hack your wii and add homebrew to it, you can then play the games much more smoothly than an emulator. This includes 64 and Sunshine too. Its pretty easy to do with since all you need is a basic internet connection.

And 100 percent free.

And the reason Sunshine is $50 used is because of ebay scalpers driving up the price if fairly common gamecube games.

Well l was just saying like it was a dlc kinda type but actually not a dlc thing. I would like to hack the wii, but it's a family console and l don't want to get into trouble for doing that.

I can guarantee it will not go on sale. Nintendo wants to milk this cow to the bank; at the end of March, it will disappear from both retailers and the eShop. It's unfortunate because it is basically forced demand that Nintendo has created, but alas, it is what it is. I bought mine on launch day and haven't played it yet due to school kicking my butt. But if you think it will interest you, I recommend you act within about 5 months lol.

Not to mention, due to this artificial demand, buying it physical might make it a nice collector's item down the line :)

I can second this about Nintendo games. They rarely go on sale if ever and the fact that this bad boy is basically limited edition, I doubt it will. You can wait until the very end to see but if you want physical, I'd jump on it asap if you want it.

If these 3 games are something you have personally never finished before and you are a Mario fan, then I say, yes! These games will keep you occupied for a good amount of time I think. Unless you personally don't want them or do not find them fun, then the decision to either buy it or not buy is yours to make

I grew up playing all three of these games and each one holds irreplaceable memories that I have made by playing these. If you do decide you want the game, then I hope you can also make fond memories with them as well.

I mean there is a thing called "a used version of the game", which would have them drop in price that way, so I don't think it's fair to say that Nintendo games rarely go on sale. While I do understand that this may not be an exact definition of "on sale", I still feel it's a good way to go about patient video game hunting when you are really just caring about how good of a price you can get the game for rather than how long you get the game after official release (at least for the physical edition).

Also, I think Switch games are one of the best and less risky games to get used for two reasons (based on my opinion):

1. The cartridges are more likely than not to be in good working order even when used because of the way they are designed.

2. It is extremely easy to receive a game as "complete" even when it is used because Nintendo no longer slips in manuals or the like. Basically, just make sure you are getting the cartridge along with its case (preferably in good condition) and you are good. [This point does not necessarily apply to "box sets" or if you want it factory-sealed]

I should have specified they never go on sale brand new lol.
I've bought lots of games used for this very reason. Or I missed them and found them but stores don't carry them anymore.

Lots of Gamestops close to me have plenty of used games in stock (on their website and in-store). They even recently decided to allow people to start selling recent games back to them so the store can put those games up as used as well. There are a few other stores as well like Zia Records and Bookmans that specialize in selling used merchandise in store and online (and yes, this does include video games).
