here's the first one I made:

<div class='spoiler_toggle'>Spoiler: click to toggle</div><div class="spoiler" style="display:none;">
shinymew.png
</div>

and here's the 2nd one:

<div class='spoiler_toggle'>Spoiler: click to toggle</div><div class="spoiler" style="display:none;">

</div>

They're crappy, I know.

They're crappy because you use MS Paint, use something like GIMP that's free. Of course, figuring out GIMP takes probably 5 months to make novice sigs. When you've learned all the basics, move on to PS (you can buy it for like 700 bucks, or be a pirate and steal it xD ). PS has better signature results, but you need to know the basics (which gimp really helps nail it down)

This.

And also, look at some really good sigs to help you get an idea.

Another thing I learned from my friend Jas0n, art is inspiration. Whether it's art made online, on paper, anything. It needs inspiration and feel, without those key elements your sigs will be dull and just stupid. Put motivation into making signatures, and get creative ideas.

I really needa get into practicing making sigs
Try experimenting with different signature techniques, like using C4Ds or making a signature using smudging tools. That's how I learned this stuff fast and easy.

Just look on Planet Renders. In the render gallery find the section labeled "Abstract Art" or something like that, but make sure it has the caption talking about Cinema 4D. You can find C4Ds there, and the trick is to use them in overlay or screen layers (beginner tip). When you get to an expert level, you can try a different layer combination, as long as you know it's good.

Take this sig for example, note the 3D looking effects behind the render, those are C4Ds. Of course, I used a normal + screen layer so it blends in, but just stick with either screen or overlay at your level.

I've sort of gone off using C4Ds recently but IDK why. I might need to follow some C4D tuts.

Not using C4Ds isn't bad. C4Ds just are support images, the real image is the sig entirely. But sometimes using C4Ds helps the signature a LOT. :p .

i disagree w/ niko about getting gimp first then pds. the controls and effects are so different that its best to just start out with photoshop. cuz if u start with gimp and get used to it then when u get pds its like starting over again

True, but even so my PS sigs aren't that bad and I've started to use PS and not gimp anymore. Of course, that's what it was like for me, it could be different for anyone.

I probably would have all that nice stuff on my computer, but my dad hates it when I put junk on the computer. that's why I want a laptop for christmas, that way I can do stuff on it without having my dad kill me afterwards.

No, my dad just hates it when there's unnessary stuff on the computer and it slows down. Then he gets pissed and bites my head off. He gets on at least once a month, but you never know, so I just try not to download anything.

i downloaded gimp before and its a pretty good software to use for editing/making graphics.
