ive been trying to get rid of a villager for awhile now *Ribbot*. i havent talked to them in AGES so i was working on getting him booted. today two of the villagers are 'having fights with Ribbot' and asked me to do them favors by delivering gifts to him, which i did.
my question is this: when this sort of thing happens, if you refuse to deliver the package does your friendship go down with the villager thats asking you to do the favor? or does the friendship level go down with the villager that you are trying to boot? or both?
I dont believe so, I think it disappoints them. Then the villager doesnt get the delivery. It might affect the friendship a bit? But not by much
It's how you can stop your villagers from getting odd clothes.

Your best bet, and chance is to to make friends with them, and be their friend. It's odd, but villagers with a higher friendship tend to want to leave
Since they wanna explore other frontiers, but a villager thats just ignored will wanna continue to stay because they dont know you yet, and want to know more about you. A villager you never talk to once, will never wanna leave.
While your befriending villagers, constantly talking, giving gifts, there's a chance that one will want to leave, and that is your chance to kick them out.
I see this alot when I'm gifting cherries to my villagers, one usually wants to leave the next day. (I say no) It's odd, but it does work. Hammering in friendship, until they decide they wanna move on,
thanks! i have befriended all of my villagers before now, but because i tend to time travel frequently *forward by one day* ive decided to just ignore all of my villagers until ive completed the museum. i do talk to a few of them everyday, but completely ignore the one that im trying to get rid of. i will do what you said and spend endless hours giving him gifts and showering him with my pleasant self LOL
thanks for the help here!
