i would like to know what is so great about it

When using the Silver Can, if gives out a larger range of water than the Regular Can. Makes it a bit easier when watering your garden.

both of these answers, yep. if you buy a red turnip and forget to water it one day, it will wilt and die. if you water it with a silver watering can, it'll be alive and back to normal the next day. both silver and gold watering cans water a bigger radius... so if you were trying to water one flower, all of the surrounding flowers would be watered as well.
