Hi everyone!
I created a quick and simple inventory management spreadsheet in Google Sheets.
It has one sheet for the inventory items, and one for orders, and is super simple to use!
You can get it here. (Click File>Make a Copy to copy it for your own use).
Here is how to use it.
Inventory Management
On the first sheet labelled Inventory, simply type in the name of the item you are selling under Item Name, and the amount you have for sale under Stock. You don't have to worry about the Available field, as this will auto-populate with the number of items you have currently in stock minus the current pending orders, so you don't over-sell your inventory
When you want to REMOVE an item from the sheet, simply highlight the Item Name and Stock fields for that item and hit the backspace key. You will get an error if you try to modify the Available field. This is intentional because this field has a special function tied to it to calculate the stock minus the pending orders.
Order Management
On the sheet labelled Orders, you will enter all the orders you receive. The fields are pretty straightforward, the only one to note is the Status field. When an order comes in, simply select Pending. This lets the Inventory sheet know that this order is still active and will adjust the stock availability accordingly.
Once an order is complete, change the Status field to Completed. You will notice the row turns green, indicating that this order is done.
IMPORTANT! Once an order has been marked Completed, make sure you go back to the Inventory sheet and update the Stock field with the updated number you have in stock after the sale.
And that's about it! Let me know if you have any issues or have any features you would like to see. It's obviously super basic right now so I'm sure there is room to improve!
Enjoy!
P.S. Mods, if you need to move this elsewhere feel free. I figured since it was related to selling items this would be a good spot for it.
